UKPPC Semi Finals 2011
Posted: Oct 11 2011
We were excited to part of this new competition and drove up with Laura from Spinny T Bags who kindly helped us unload and set up our stall and pack up at the end so big thanks to her!
Taking place at Highlight on Birmingham's Broad Street the venue was packed out with all tables sold out. The 2 hour drive round the M25 and up the M40 were well worth it as not only only were all the performances jaw dropping and amazing, but the atmosphere was brilliant too with all performers being cheered on and supported by the crowd.
The pole community really is a great bunch of people and we enjoyed meeting new people at our stall. Thanks to everyone who bought clothing and accessories. We look forward to seeing you all again at the finals.
As the performances started the costumes and routines were inspiring and just kept getting better as the night went on. I had face ache from smiling and hand ache from clapping at all the performers throughout the night which was a small price to pay as it was a great night for UK pole dancing talent.
The judges had a tough job choosing who would go through to the finals and included the UK’s pole dancing elite; PDC founder Sam Remmer, Elena Gibson, Donna Gant, Kat Williamson, Stacey Snedden, Lucy Misch and the delightful Miss Glory Pearl.
Event organisers Kate and Varie did a great job and should be really proud of their inaugral event. They were constantly running round making sure everyone was ok and being looked after all night. Good jobs ladies!
Congratulations to all the competitors and we can’t wait to the finals. See our photos here
